Meet Kumbah

The people behind
the name.

Founder & head producer

I'm Kumbah.

I've spent more than a decade in events, most of it running other people's floors. KS&Co. Events is the company I always wanted to work for: one that treats logistics as craft, tells clients the truth about everything from budget to whether that centerpiece is actually a good idea, and never makes anyone feel like they're standing in the wrong room.

I'm not a vendor you have to manage. I'm the person in it with you. You'll have my number, my honest read, and a partner who cares what this day costs you in stress as much as in dollars.

You are not hiring one person. You are hiring the network she spent a decade building.

Coordinators, designers, and producers I've worked beside for years, brought onto your event because they fit it. Everyone who walks your floor in a KS&Co. headset has done this before, with me, and knows how I run a room.

How I work

No standing vendor list. Ever.

A lot of planners hand every client the same six names. It's efficient, and this industry's kickback culture rewards it. I don't do it.

Every couple and every room is different, so the shortlist gets built after we talk, not before. Sometimes that means a vendor below my usual price band. Sometimes it means telling you the photographer you love won't work in that venue's light. Either way, you get the real answer.

WHAT WE HOLD TO

Four things that
don't move.

i.

Yours, not ours Every decision is made in service of your day, never for what photographs well for us.

ii.

No gatekeeping We publish a range, answer plainly, and if we're not the right fit, we'll gladly point you to someone who is.

iii.

Logistics is craft The timeline is the design. A room that looks perfect and runs badly still isn't the day you deserved.

iv.

Vendors get treated well Fed, briefed, paid on time, always spoken well of. The people who work beside us want to come back.

Practical things

The details you'd ask about anyway.

Where are you based?

Philadelphia, with regular productions in New York, the Hudson Valley, and the Eastern Shore. We travel for full productions by request, billed at cost.

How many events do you take a year?

A limited number of full-service productions each season, deliberately. Mini services and staffing sit outside that count. When a date is genuinely full, we say so and point you to someone good.

Who will actually be at my event?

Me, plus the coordinators we've assigned to your day. You'll meet the lead before the event, and everyone on the floor will have been briefed from the same run-of-show. No unfamiliar faces on the day.

What kinds of events do you take?

Weddings and milestone celebrations make up most of it. We also produce private dinners, corporate events, galas, and brand activations, which use the same production spine with a different brief.
